Greetings friends! 

I am super excited to report, that I have been praying about this opportunity and feel that God is leading me in ways like never before.  I have been asked to go on a trip to Nigeria, this April and I am asking for prayer, and if led, sponsorships to help pay for me to go.   I am trying to raise 4.5k in order to go.  This is to cover expenses both in getting there (plane fare) as well as covering some expenses here at home while not generating a steady income for approx. 2 weeks.  I do NOT want you to feel obligated in ANY way to have to help financially!  I am just primarily asking for your prayer support and if there are people who want to support financially, of course I would be most grateful.  The Lord has begun to answer me already and I have been sponsored $1,000.00 as of today 01/20/2010!  Praise God for opening doors and leading!

I personally would like to be involved for 2 main reasons.

1. My desire to go where God leads and wants me to go, in order to serve HIM and to encourage and serve others by showing the LOVE of God thru me and my actions of serving.

2. To experience people who have literally NOTHING, yet are grateful and LOVE God regardless.  A true life altering experience I feel would GREATLY change my life and outlook on life!

TRIP INFO:

We will be visiting Abeokuta, Nigeria with hosting Pastor Lawrence Achudume from Abeokuta and Pastor GBenga Talabi who is from Nigeria and has since planted a church in Sacramento about 7 years ago. Pastor Lawrence is the founder and Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church aka VLBC which was established in 1992. Pastor Lawrence has since planted over 100 churches throughout Nigeria, UK and the US.

While in Nigeria we will ministering and leading worship at VLBC's International conference with Pastors visiting from all over the world and bringing Gods word to thousands of people from all over Ogun State Nigeria.

We will be traveling in to 3 local villages where the gospel has only recently been presented and each village has accepted what Jesus has to offer. One of the villages had practiced human sacrifices less than a few years ago just to show you how the enemy can work. Where the sacrifices were performed there are now alters for worship to God. VLBC is in the process of raising funds to build a sanctuary in each village for a place of worship vs. their current outside dirt floor under a wood lean-to. This is a very poor area and yet their joy can be overwhelming. The people have nothing to speak of but yet they know God has much more than the world can offer.

We will there for 10 days ministering at each service 2 to 3 times a day. We will also be working on a live project album titled Live In Nigeria, ministering together with the VLBC choir and worship team. This album will go to help fund the building of the sanctuaries in the villages and fund other VLBC projects to take the gospel of Jesus all over the world.  I personally will be working and helping with the sound and audio during production as well as ministering to those in need.  Speaking and encouraging those around me, is something that I greatly enjoy, and I am sure that I will be able to share these gifts that the Lord has given me, with the Nigerian people!

I would appreciate ANY feedback along with a saturation of prayer as this is quite a BIG step of faith to leave the county and my boys for almost 2 weeks!  I am excited to see what God has planned for me!  I am expecting GREAT things from HIM and this venture is sure to be a life changing experience and sure it will increase my personal faith and walk with the Lord!  Thank you for your prayers and support!
